Their Favorite Date…
…was when they went ice skating together at the National Gallery of Art. It was Cindy’s first time ice skating and they had so much fun going around the rink. “She got the hang of it about 309 minutes into it,” Virak said. But they were just having fun watching little kids spinning around and skating like pro’s. The hand rail became their best friend. They walked around the mall afterwards and had some nice 1 lb hot dogs at a stand nearby to end the date on a good note.

🙂

Favorite Things To Do Together
Their top 2 favorite things to do are walking their dogs in the park and biking around DC at night.

They love having their dogs run around in the trails and jump in the lake for a swim. “It’s nice and relaxing just watching the dogs enjoy the park,” Cindy said.

They love biking around the DC monuments at night because “it’s super quiet and you get a different sense of DC rather than the hustle and bustle during the day.” They enjoy the spectacular views of all the monuments lit up at night and rarely forget to grab something delicious to eat afterwards!

What They Love About Each Other
Virak: “I love how she looks and sees the best in everyone.”
Cindy: “His care for family and his morals. He stays true to them.”

The Proposal
“We just bought our new home a week before and were beginning our lives together. I thought what better way to propose in our new home together. When she came home from going out with her family, I brought her to our back yard where there is a forest and creek. I laid out over 200 candles in our backyard and made a circle of candles with a heart where I kneeled and proposed to her. The funny part is 90% of the candles blew out because of the wind and the lights I put in the creek were dimmer than a nightlight. BUT Cindy was suprirsed and ecstatic with all the work I did for the proposal and as you can tell, she accepted.”

Their Fun Facts
“We learned two years into dating that we wanted to no longer share French fries together. We both always wanted more and dind’t want to be so nice to share the last ones. So we always get 2 orders of French fries to be happy.”

“Cliché to say, we love to travel and promise ourselves 2 big trips a year. Life is too short and passes you by and we want to enjoy the world and what it has to offer. Exciting cultures, people and food, we want to experience it from all over. It gives a good look on life and makes us appreciate it more. One day we may drop everything and go cross country in a RV.
