Summer is the perfect setting for an outdoor gathering. With the lush green and flowers backdrop, it creates a naturally picturesque scene needing only a handful of accents peppered throughout to complete the set for any occasion. For this family front porch gathering, inspired by vintage charm accents and BBQ menu, it gave space for time together to relax, refresh and rejuvenate.
Creating an easy menu allows for everyone to contribute while still presenting a beautiful meal. This eclectic blend of details includes mix and match vintage finds such as the dining chairs, repurposed patterned papers, glassware and containers for serving food in a way that offers interest with beauty. Building a tablescape with cherished and favorite pieces creates a space that has your guests feeling right at home.
Simple décor can go a long way. With summer offering a vast supply of natural finds, we pulled from our woods for the delicate white florals sprinkled over the table in quiet glass jars. Effortless yet refined, these collected gems can be seen across the spread. Fruit and herb flavored summer drinks are simple to make, yet so enticing to your guests with their refreshing look and taste. These tastes of homemade recipes bring a sense of familiarity and create a space to come together.
