Alex and Greg crossed paths on their study abroad in Rome, Italy when they were placed in the same apartment building. Alex shared, ” I saw him in the hallway when he was moving in and immediately thought he was handsome. That day, I told my roommates he would be mine!” 🙂 Given that though, these two didn’t official meet until they were both invited to a mutual friend’s birthday party. Greg said, “Alex had to send a friend over to talk to me for her, because she was intimidated.”
Their first date was a beautiful September night at a romantic restaurant at Piazza Navona square. It has been over 8 years since then, most of which entailed a long-distant relationship for Alex and Greg, who commuted to see each other between NY and PA. Right before Christmas one year, Greg took Alex on a surprise horse drawn carriage when he proposed to her. Greg said, “She doesn’t really like surprises but I figured she’d make an exception for that.”
Their wedding will be held on a boat on The Moshulu in Philly this coming June. With them both being travel bugs, this venue speaks directly to their passion and interest!
