Alex and Greg crossed paths on their study abroad in Rome, Italy when they were placed in the same apartment building. Alex shared, ” I saw him in the hallway when he was moving in and immediately thought he was handsome. That day, I told my roommates he would be mine!” However, these two didn’t official meet until they were both invited to a mutual friend’s birthday party. Greg said, “Alex had to send a friend over to talk to me for her, because she was intimidated."

Their first date was a beautiful September night at a romantic restaurant at Piazza Navona square. It has been over 9 years since then, most of which entailed a long-distance relationship for Alex and Greg, who commuted to see each other between NY and PA. Right before Christmas one year, Greg took Alex on a surprise horse drawn carriage and proposed to her. Greg said, “She doesn’t really like surprises but I figured she’d make an exception for that.” Their wedding took place on a boat on The Moshulu in Philadelphia. They both have the travel bug, so this venue spoke directly to their passion and interest. Nautical meets romantic was their wedding theme: blush and white florals against sail ropes and the Philly water view.

Alex's Maggie Sottero dress was the perfect style for a summer ceremony on the top deck of the boat. The sunlight caught every sparkle on the bodice and the train moved with the breeze from the water. After the ceremony, their guests not only were welcomed with the Bride and Groom's signature cocktails: Something Old Something New (Old Fashion) and Blushing Bride (Pink Grapefruit Paloma) but also "Donut Forget To Take A Favor" from the amazingly delicious variety of this Beiler's pastry.
