Lauren met Antonis when he was her waiter for dinner with one of her girl friends at Clyde’s of Georgetown in Washington DC. Antonis had recently fallen off his bicycle and was bandaged up, but it made for good conversations at Lauren’s table. Even with all the bandage, Lauren thought her waiter was a “major cutie.” They had a great time and Lauren left without knowing that her friend had left her phone number on the receipt for Antonis. Well, the rest, as we say, is history.

Their wedding theme was an elegant combination of ivory, blush and a touch of mint green. From the gold filigree design on her Bella Belle shoes, the ethereal cathedral veil to the lacy V-shaped neckline on her Eddy K. wedding gown, Lauren‘s bridal details really showcased her style as a bride: delicate, graceful and classic. Antonis was definitely overwhelmed when he saw Lauren for the first time on their wedding walking down the aisle. His reactions were precious.

The bridal party opted for different dress designs in the same color palette which combined blush pink and mint green gowns by BHLDN. The bridesmaids were Lauren‘s close friends from childhood and college and you could really tell how much they cared about each other: from the gentle hand holding just before the Bride walked down the aisle to the moving toasts that her Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor gave during the reception.

Instead of a guest book, the Bride and Groom invited their guests to write them “a message in a bottle” for their wedding day, 1-year, 5-year and 10-year anniversaries.

From the Bride: “I really wanted a soft romantic vibe with neutral colors. We used mostly ivory with a few blush touches. Flowers and candles were a big part of our vision. Something timeless and elegant that would still look classic when looking back at our pictures thirty years from now. It was important to include small details that were meaningful. For example, my bouquet had touches of orchids. My grandfather could not be with us at the wedding and orchids are his favorite so it was important for me to remember him in a small way.”

Their wedding reception was held at beautiful The Tidewater Inn in Easton, MD.
