From the Bride:

"The wedding in my backyard was planned just three weeks before the date of our wedding. We kept having to adjust the number of people we were having because we always wanted it to be safe, and to have as many people as we could safely. The list ended up just being our immediate family but it felt so perfect and intimate. It showed us we didn't need what we thought we originally did. We were originally contracted for a 200-person wedding at the Fitler Club in center city Philadelphia.

For my dress, I saw a picture of it on Instagram and went into the store (The Wedding Shoppe in Wayne, PA) and tried on only that dress and decided to purchase it! I feel like since I work in fashion (I do partnerships for Anthropologie) I have always known what works for me.I also started my own business during covid - a fitness subscription. That's why I wanted to incorporate wedding-ready sneaks.

Some details that I loved about the day:

  • Got ready in my childhood bedroom
  • Pinky ring was borrowed from my grandmom who couldn't be there because she was in a nursing home. She wore the ring every day.
  • The next day I went to the nursing home in my dress
  • Our grandmoms as the flower girls
  • I love the old wedding photos of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn carrying little white bibles. I wanted to recreate that old vanity look with my clutch. The cult Gaia bag felt like a modern version of that look.
  • Signature drink (mojito) made with the mint from my parents garden
  • Cocktail hour taco bar because our favorite date night is Mexican
  • Termini Bro's are my cousins and that's where we got the cake
  • Kindle Hill Farm where we took the photos is a farm I grew up going to as it's down the street from my house. My family made a donation to the Kindle Hill Foundation which treats people with horse therapy as a part of the wedding.
  • Brought federal donuts from Philly to have a touch of our original city wedding."
