From the bride:
"We wanted to have an overall aesthetic that was whimsical but chic. I envisioned a reception with lights strung above a single large table softly lit by the sunset and accompanying candles over the bay. The tablescape was curated with all white flowers - a color that defined our wedding theme - crispy white. We celebrated us with the many elements that reflected who we are that day that also unexpectedly delivered a wildly elegant and timeless look. Brett - being a professional lacrosse player for the New England Blackwolves, member of Team USA and VP at NXT Sports - Stone Harbor is and always has been a place to relax and unwind in the off season. As our relationship grew over the years and my passion for the aesthetic of my surroundings deepened with my career in interior design at Wendi Jay Design, Stone Harbor quickly became “our happy place”. We took our photographer to a few of our favorite places for photos - Springer's, a local ice cream shop where we always stop for a sweet treat, Fred's Tavern where we would come for drinks, and of course, the beach where we spend so much time together. It was incredibly humbling to have the opportunity to get married at Brett’s family home in a place that truly means so much to us. This day was meant to celebrate our love with our family, to embrace the celebration alongside one another rather than just with them. It was important to us that each guest felt equally part of our day and next chapter. If we could relive the day over and over again, we would in a heartbeat. Our vendors are truly the ones to thank for this and it would have been impossible to pull off and capture this perfect day."
From the Planner Allie of Polka Dot Events:
"Gracia and Brett wanted to bring an European al fresco feel to Brett's family's dock at the Jersey Shore. They love the beach and knew that they were going to get photos on it, but didn't want to go overboard with a beach theme in terms of the decor. To achieve this, we kept everything pure white, with lots of textures in the florals and rentals and candlelight to make the dock even more romantic. Hazel Dust's beautiful florals effortlessly achieved a modern yet romantic feel, and Ocean Tent's beautiful linens and tablewares made everyone feel like they were at a trendy French Riviera picnic."
